Once upon a time but not long ago, a picture book titled “The Golden Heart” by Nguyen Ngoc Bich won the Best Story Award in the 2020 International Children’s Picture Book Award.
In an underground kingdom, there existed a miracle treasure that brought light to everywhere it came, known as the Golden Heart. But would the miracle treasure remain a miracle if it broke into pieces?
The Golden Heart has a familiar opening of an old tale, but it will surprise all readers with its unexpected and amusing events along with its unique illustrations. Though set in a dark underground kingdom, the whole book is bright with light and hope, not only catching the eyes of the readers at first sight but also lingering long in their minds.
The author told Ehomebooks that The Golden Heart brought as much light to its kingdom as to her life, especially when she was experiencing a hard time after graduation. The story reminds her to always be optimistic even in not-so-bright situations. And we hope The Golden Heart will do the same to our readers.
